Sweet Treats and Sweet Cards

Hi Everyone!  It's Sonya from Sonya's Paper Trail and I'm happy to be designing for Dr. Phil Scraps today.  I have a few cards to share today, plus a super sweet little gift.  All my projects today feature paper from the Flirty Paper Packet (X7160B).  Let's get started with a card...

First I cut the medallion from Art Philosophy to match up with this fleur de lis patterned stamp from the Perfect Fit - Frames stamp set (D1527).  I added the cup and steam stamp from Tea Time (C1438) in the center.

Next I cut some strips of Flirty Paper and edge punched the green piece with a nice edge punch that I have had for ages--and I use it all the time!

It's an easy card to assemble--just adhere all the parts down for a quick and easy card.

Here's a close up of the sentiment I chose.  It's from A Friend Like You (B1410).  I love this sentiment, so thoughtful!

Next up...two more cards:

Again, I'm using the Flirty Paper Pack.  The cut you see above is from Art Philosophy and I used my Gypsy to size it to my card, approximately 4 inches wide.

I cut a few strips of patterned paper, made a notch in one for a ribbon effect and assembled the card.

Here's the second version.  I used the Tea Time and A Friend Like You stamp sets again for these cards.

I saved the "sweet treat" for last.  I love chocolate!

I started out with this little container.  It used to hold some fall embellishments, but those have long been used up. This sweet little container reminds me of a candy jar and was begging to be re-purposed.

After spending 20 minutes with a bottle of Goo-Gone to get the stickers off and cleaning it up, I was ready to get started.  (Why oh why are those stickers so stinkin' gooey???)  Anyway....I started with a piece of ribbon that had just a bit of stretch to it and used my hot glue gun to adhere it to the bottom side of the area where the lid screws on to the container.  Be careful....glue guns are HOT!

I used Cricut Elegant Edges to cut two layers of scalloped circles at 2 inches (the cut is found on page 23 in the handbook).  I then stamped  the tea cup from Tea Time and punched it out using a circle punch from my collection of crafty punches.

Here's a look at the jar from the front--it's super cute!  I filled the jar with Hugs--I love white chocolate.  Yum....

I hope you've enjoyed some sweet cards and sweet treats today.  Be sure to come back tomorrow for more great paper crafting inspiration!

Cheers!
Sonya

Very cute!! Little trick...I saw on Pinterest awhile ago that peanut butter removes sticky/stickers. I wasn't show and had to try it to convince myself. Well, result is that it does. It does have to sit for awhile. Just smear peanut butter, let it sit, and then wipe with a dry paper towel, and all is gone.
