Hi Everyone! I am so excited about today's projects because I'm honored to be a Guest Designer for Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons! I have a card and a scrapbook page featuring a super cute cut file called "Little Hoot". The cut files at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons are very reasonably priced and there's often a freebie--be sure to check them out and tell the lovely owner, Lisa, that I sent you to her site.
Are you ready for the card?
I used my Silhouette Cameo to work with this awesome cut file. The patterned papers I chose were a mix of 6 by 6 papers from MME's Out of the Blue and Fly a Kite stacks.
I added some Glossy Accents to the frame of the owl's glasses. It made them look shiny and real! I also pop-dotted that middle heart just for some texture.
The sentiment stamp is by SP&Company and is from Vintage October: Falling For Autumn.
Now...onto my scrapbook page! I have a nine year old son, so Valentine's Day and Easter are my only scrapbook pages that I can use some more--no scratch that, less boyish colors. I'd hate to describe anything about that child or his album as "girlie"...that just wouldn't do! But Valentine's Day is all about hearts and love, so I can get away with a little bit of pink.
It's a 12 by 12 page and all the papers are from We R Memory Keepers. This will hold two 4 by 6 photos taken at my son's class party last year. (Yes, I'm a "little" behind). At least I'm a year behind in the right season!
Here's "Little Hoot" making another appearance! He's perched on a tree that is from the Silhouette Online Store. I found a font that I liked and just typed my title.
I added these tiny hearts using a punch that I have on hand. I thought they made it look like the tree was sprouting little hearts.
I'd like to say a huge thank you to Lisa of Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons for this awesome opportunity. Her cut files are fabulous--be sure to pay her a visit!
