A friend like you....

Hello everyone....I have a cold, and have had one for several days now.  I haven't felt very crafty, so today I'm digging out a card that I made a few weeks ago and never shared.  I have used my time to catch up on some reading and am enjoying the Hunger Games series that a friend of mine is letting me borrow.  I really enjoy reading, but find that I either need to focus on crafting or reading, because I seem to get "hooked" on whatever I choose and don't have time to fit both into my schedule at one time!   Here's today's card:

 

 You might remember seeing a couple of cards like this on my blog awhile back.  I have been on a mission to use up as many of my 6 by 6 paper pads as I can.  I find when I get to the end of one, I'm left with a bunch of paper strips that are a nice size, but not too terribly large.  This is the perfect way to use them up.  These scraps were from the very first 6 by 6 pad I ever purchased (the one that started my love for these sweet things!).  The stamped sentiment is by CTMH and is called A Friend Like You.   It's not a fancy card, but is a great 10 minute CAS card if you need one in a pinch.  Here's a tip...to make the perfect notch in your banners...use a square punch and angle it to create a perfect cut.  Give it a try!
