Hi Everyone! It's Sonya of Sonya's Paper Trail here today with a lovely little 3D gift box and a set of 3 by 3 inch gift cards to share with you today. I love giving cards as gifts, and these little 3 by 3 sets are some of my favorites because they are quick to make and so very cute! They make great teacher gifts, too, as many teachers send home notes to parents and these smaller cards are the perfect size.
I started by cutting this box shape from the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge. The box shape I used can be found on page 21 of the cartridge handbook. To make this box the perfect size to hold my small cards, I cut the shape at 8 inches. I scored the lines then used some glue dots to adhere the corners. This gorgeous paper is from the Flirty Paper Packet (item X7160B).
Also on the Art Philosophy cartridge, I cut four white shapes to match the stamps found in Perfect Fit Frames (item D1527). I love how the stamp sets give you the exact size and page number to find the cut on the coordinating Cricut cartridge--so handy!
I used the Perfect Fit Frames to serve as my mat for this darling little tea cup. The tea cup and steam are from Tea Time (item C1438). I made two of this design.
And two of this design, using the same stamp sets.
Aren't they sweet?
I also used the Tea Time set to stamp some coordinating envelopes. Notice the flowers? I colored them with markers to bring some additional color to coordinate better with the cards.
I tucked the cards and envelopes into my little gift box.
I cut a tag from Art Philosophy at 2 1/2 inches and ran some ribbon through it. This covered the closure of my box and made it stay shut.
Even the back side is cute!
The approximate size of this closed box is 3 1/2 inch square on the top and a little more than 1/2 inch deep.
Thanks for joining us at Dr. Phil Scraps today--be sure to come back tomorrow for more inspiration!
Cheers!
Sonya
