Hi Everyone! If someone were to ask me the question, "What type of challenge do you not enjoy?", without question I would answer--a sketch challenge. I sometimes do CAS sketches, but in general, I'm pretty awful at following sketches. I have trouble getting the proportions right. I blame it on my lack of interest/aptitude in Geometry. Or something like that! But today, I'm actually participating in a full blown sketch challenge and I quite like how the card turned out:
How did I accomplish this beauty? Well, my good friend, Sonia of SKdigis, is now hosting a sketch challenge and she offered a freebie cut file of all the layout pieces. Now that's the kind of sketch I can follow! I simply picked out my papers (from MME's Life of the Party), laid them out on my Cameo cutting mat and let the machine do it's job. I printed out an SKdigi that I really like for birthday cards and colored it with my Copic Markers. I added some brads and my sentiment and ended up with a card that I am very pleased with. The sentiment is by SP&Company Bold Birthday Sentiments. I didn't follow the sketch to the letter, but it's a pretty good take on it and I'm OK with the little deviations that I took.
Do you have an "achilles heal" in paper crafting? Fill me in...
See you tomorrow!
